About Me
Hi, I'm Roopa - an Equality, Diversity & Inclusion professional and sports fan from Caerphilly, Wales.
I’ve always believed that sport should be for everyone. Not just in theory, but in practice. In who feels welcome, who gets heard, and who gets to take up space without question.
My work sits at the intersection of sport, media, and EDI. I’m currently an EDI Coordinator at Transport for Wales and Chief Operating Officer at Her Game Too, where I lead on strategy, community engagement, and creating meaningful change across the game. I also run the Cymru branch of Her Game Too.
A lot of what I do is rooted in lived experience. As a South Asian woman in football spaces, I’ve seen both the progress and the gaps. That’s what drives me. Not just representation for the sake of it, but making sure people feel like they genuinely belong.
Alongside my EDI work, I’ve built a presence across media and campaigns. From radio and TV appearances to modelling and creative collaborations, I’m interested in telling stories that don’t usually get told and challenging the narratives that have been left unspoken for too long.
At the core of it all, my work is about people. Creating spaces where they feel seen, heard, and respected. And pushing conversations forward, even when they’re uncomfortable.

I am registered with Companies House to conduct freelance work
