Converse x Liverpool FC
2023
How it came about...
I've built a following on social media over the years, just through talking about Liverpool FC, expressing my opinions on the game, transfers and more, as well as more recently showcasing my work with Her Game Too.
From that came an opportunity I never imagined and will forever be grateful for!
An agency slid into my DMs, wanting to learn more about me and mentioned that they are going to be working on something with Liverpool FC. Of course, the opportunity to work with Liverpool FC was all I needed, so I jumped at it! I had no idea what exactly was in store, but I was in for a treat!
I ended up being one of five chosen fans to tell their story and model for global brand, Converse!!

The campaign
This campaign wasn’t just about visibility. It was about presence.
Working in collaboration with Converse, alongside Liverpool FC and Azeema Magazine, this project brought together football, fashion, and culture in a way that felt genuinely representative of the communities within the game.
One of the standout moments was being featured on the exterior of Anfield. Not just Anfield, but the famous Spion Kop stand.
Seeing my face on the side of the stadium, on posters in the store and on projections around the city… it’s hard to put into words. Not just personally, but for what it represented. South Asian women don’t often see themselves reflected in football spaces like that, especially at that scale.
I feel an enormous sense of duty in my position to create space for others like me and remove barriers wherever possible.
And maybe that’s the point of my involvement. It shouldn’t feel rare.
Alongside the campaign visuals, the collaboration with Azeema Magazine added another layer. It centred South Asian identity, creativity, and storytelling in a way that felt intentional rather than tokenistic. The kind of work that doesn’t just include people, but actually sees them.
This project sits at the intersection of everything I care about. Football, culture, identity, and changing who gets to be visible.
